TR mode ramps up the auto-blockiness, bestowing you with even more safety with less effort. The lead mode pays out slack very similarly to the standard Grigri. The TR/lead belay modes are a novel intro to the line. ![]() The handle can make lowering a bit more clunky than the standard Grigri so might not be the best for those who’ve mastered the Grigri already.
